Free Internet Access

No longer available in Australia

Free ISPs were available all over the world. The conditions for free internet access, and how free it really was, depended on the country you live in. You often still had to pay the phone company and if your country does not have untimed local calls, even free Internet access could be very expensive. Now however free internet access has almost disappeared.

Free Internet Access in the USA and Canada

Find out your which free ISP's are in you area: If non of the free isp's above are available in your area, find out which ISP is.

Free ISPs in Holland (Nederland)

There are two free access providers in the Netherlands that I am aware of. With both you're still paying for your local timed call.

Freeaccess: Provides only WWW access through a normal modem or ISDN, hence no ICQ.

Free Internet Access in the UK

The UK has timed local calls, so most (if not all) free ISP's are not really free. If you know of a free ISP that offers real free Internet access, please let me know.

Banner Telecom: Unlimited web access but no mention of other access services available.

Bigwig: Web access and newsgroup access, so I assume ICQ is also available. You get free web site and 7 pop3 mailboxes as well.

Other countries.
