Just remember, the advantage of Internet shopping is the enormous choice. Lots of merchandise that you can not find in your local shops is available to you through the Internet. But, if you can buy it in your local shop, why not consider the advantages of service and good return policies that you get from your local merchant.

If you are considering shopping for CD's, books, hardware or software in one of the big overseas Internet malls, you will also quickly find out that shipping cost are high. Hence, compare the total price and you'll find that some things are better bought in Australia, where your shipping cost are lower.

Free stuff on the Internet

As a direct result of the enormous growth of consumer shopping on the Internet, we currently see an increasing trend of companies giving away free merchandise.

Unfortunately, there is also a negative side to this. Many of the companies that give away freebies, abuse your trust and privacy by either bombarding you with junk mail, or by selling the information they collect about you to third parties.
