Skateboarding at the Melbourne Sail Yards

The Sail yards (easy to see where the name comes from) was one of the best places to skate in Melbourne. There were a lot quarter-pipes, little jump ramps, fun-boxes, and other good stuff to skate on. You had to make sure to watch out for little skater and blader kids though, cause the place was crawling with them.

Here a nice picture, made a few years back, of a sk8ter who should be a pro, if he isn't already. He is performing a monstrous ollie over a park bench at the Sail Yards. Look at how he clears the bench at almost twice its height.
